Birthday Party!

My cousin Peter is now 7 years old! He had a party on Sunday which was so much fun! We go there and everyone was decked out in camouflage! The table, even the cake was covered in camouflage. It was so much fun!

Happy 7th B.Day Peter!

camouflage theme... Love the pink!

And last night, we got a surprise visit from Mark and Britt. They needed a place to park their car for a week while they're in Mexico so they spent the night here and my parents were able to drive them to O'Hare early this morning, so it all worked out! They are at a YWAM conference this week in Ensenada, Mexico, and I think some of Mark's family is there too, so they should have a great time!

6-0 - Still Perfect!!!

The Bears are still perfect after a last minute win against the Cardinals last night. We did nothing in the first half, our defense was terrible, and Grossman wasn't exactly having the best night, so I decided to get to bed early and learn the dreadful final score in the morning. Then the screaming started. With my dad at the other end of the house and my brothers directly below me, I awoke to what seemed to be and earthquake. The Nyquil I had taken (to get over my cold) wore off immediately and I proceeded to watch the rest of the game. We should have lost, but we were very lucky that the Cardinals missed that last minute field goal. I feel so bad for all the people who went to bed early and didn't awake to the sounds of screaming Bears fans to see the victory. It was definitely a night to remember!

GO BEARS!!!

Smoothies!

When Brittany was here she made some great fruit smoothies for us and they were delicious! She just took frozen berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries) and some fruit juice (orange, apple, etc.) and threw it all in her food processor and tada! She said she and Mark make them everyday and I know why! I just tried to copy her recipe and it worked! Thanks Britt! ;)

Weekend Update!

On Friday night, My cousin Brittany and her husband went out to dinner with us and spent the night before they headed off to WaNiPa for the week. I hadn't seen them since their wedding, so it was good to catch up with them again. They did offer for me to go with them and I would have loved to go, but I had school this week. Hope you're having fun up there ! ;)

In football news, the Illini lost by two on Saturday to Indiana. If they had only not done those stupid two-point-conversions, they would have at least tied!! On Sunday, the Bears won by something like 33 points, and I heard some Bears fans are already buying plane tickets to the superbowl. Crazy!!

On Sunday, some of the members and the pastor of the Roca de Salvacion church in Monterrey were able to visit us at our church. I had been there in June of '05, and I think at least Pastor Flor remembered me! Seeing them again really made me want to go back. Who knows, maybe God want's me there again this year. . .

Monday was Columbus Day, and I was planning to do a day of school, but after staying up late to hang out with the Roca members on Sunday night, I kinda slept in. So I just took the day off anyway. Yea for sleeping in!
