Sweeter Seventeen!!!!!

I am 17 years old! Yesterday was my 17th birthday! We had my family over on Sunday to celebrate and had a great time! Here's me with my favorite birthday dessert!
Mmmmm... Chocolate Cream Pie
with Graham Cracker Crust... Delicious!!!

I got a sweater and really cute earrings, an iPod stereo system, penguin socks, and a lot of other surprises. All in all, it was a great birthday. I just can't believe I'm 17!!! Yay for birthdays!

Happy Thanksgiving!

My favorite holiday is finally here! Turkey Day!!! I just love all the food - the turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole, pumpkin pie... I'm making myself hungry! My family and I are driving to Urbana today to see my aunt and uncle and some of my cousins and visit with my great aunt and uncle tonight. We'll have a ton of food tomorrow (and continue the tradition of the Turkey Day Bowl with a little football) and I can't wait! Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I'm thankful for all of you!!!

Fun weekend!

I had a really great time spending the weekend with my cousins. I wish I could share pics, but in all the hustle and bustle, I came home without one single picture! Grrr! I'll have to get some from someone and share them here eventually. Anyway, it was a really nice weekend. On Saturday, I took Casey to see my great aunt and uncle, got to spend some time with some of Mark and Britt's family (I haven't laughed so hard in a long time!), and on Sunday, we watched the Bears game on a giant 52" screen at my cousin Mitch's new house. Too bad they lost!!! After the dissappointing loss, we (all 16 of us) went to Monical's pizza for my Granny's 82nd birthday. Yay Monical's!

And on the subject of midterms, if I'm correct, I received an A (90+) on all of them! I definetely was not expecting that, so I guess all the studying paid off!

Midterms - yuck!

AAAHHH!!! I just had three midterms today and I still have another one next week! Studying night and day can get pretty exhausting, and I hope it pays off...

midterm next week... can't wait!

My brothers-free weekend starts tomorrow! I'll be going to good ol' Urbana IL for the weekend. My parents have a wedding to go to in Indianapolis on Saturday and I get to hang out with my cousin Brittany and her husband Mark for the day. Then on Sunday, we will all celebrate my Granny's 82nd birthday! Happy early birthday, Granny! The weekend will be brother free because Mark and Eric have a youth conference to attend in Villa Park with their youth group (X4J) on Friday and Saturday and will stay with friends on Sunday. Yay for no bros! ;)
